Qsmart™ higly specific optical molecular probes

Your nano eyes on specific biological events

Quidd’s probes are the nano eyes that enable the observation of specific biological events. They transmit information in real-time, bringing clarity to underlying biological processes and complexity. Quidd’s probes are ”smart” because they are activated by the targeted biological process.

Customized imaging

A first step of feasibility is done prior to deeper commitment in probe development.
Quidd brings its expertise and proprietary technologies in the design of the new probe adapted to the partner’s biological target.

At the forefront of optical molecular probe development

Quidd develops highly specific molecular probes for multiple metabolic targets, including apoptosis. The approach capitalizes on all existing light-emitting technologies (Fluorescense, FRET, Intramolecular Quenching, Quantum dots, Profluorescence, Chemiluminescence), fine-tuning them for in vivo applications. Quidd probes are customized for a wide range of applications in cardiology, inflammation, oncology and neurology.

Quidd probes are compatible with most commercial optical imagers, including the Quidd high-resolution QOS Small Animal Imager.

Quidd’s optical probe for in vivo detection of apoptosis targets specific cytosolic enzymes. Quidd’s strategy avoids the problems associated with existing approaches that rely on the imaging of extracellular phosphatidylserine (PS), which often results in false positives due to the presence of PS on necrotic cells.
